I just feel like I have the capacity RIGHT NOW, and I know I absolutely will not as the year winds down or even starts up when my focus is frayed and my body exhausted. I want down the foundation for the future now, so I can just breathe in to it come Jan 1. Would love to hear anything that comes out of your September Strategy mindset!
Neato! You and I are very unalike in our M.O.s! Plan? Strategize? Not so much. I am the yin to your yang...or whatever, you know what I mean. I do have an intention for the coming year though. I intend to sit my ass down, find at least an extra hour in my day to start (dig in) to writing the memoir that's taken residence in my brain! And please, I don't know what a PSL is. It's probably right in front of my face. But I googled it, because so many of those shortcuts are foreign to me and I google everything, because I'm a curiosity junkie. Oh, so I googled PSL and this is what came up: Party for Socialism and Liberation. And I panicked for just a moment, flashing on "what if my laptop is being monitored and the bad guys see that I went to that site, and then they'll put it in my file and I'll be fucked forever?" Welcome to my brain. Love you! xo
I will take the intentional memoir for Strategy September any day! And be grateful you don’t know what a PSL is (although WTF Google?!?). It’s something horrid they do to coffee in the Fall that I’m convinced is an attempt by the patriarchy to keep us diabetic and over caffeinated. 🙄
Oh! I know what it is now! 🎃🫚☕️ Ewww. Second only to hazelnuts, which of course, I drank because everyone was in the 90s. I've never had a PSL, though, and I'm not going to start now! But talk to me about pumpkin ice cream. Love it. xo
I just got to my meeting, and the host saw that I was drinking coffee and said is it pumpkin coffee, and I said no, just regular, and she said "I love pumpkin coffee!" I kid you not. All I could do not burst out laughing. xo
You already know I’m 100% on board with the September reset. Interestingly, I was feeling a little off because I was expecting September 1, or at least the second, to feel like a brand new season and a brand new me. But that hasn’t happened this year. And after listening to your piece, I feel like maybe I have some planning to do before any autumn doing. I think I’m in a kind of cart before the horse situation where I’m ready and raring to go, but I’m not sure where I’m headed. Seems like the story of my life this year. Anyway, thanks for re-orienting me around the need to maybe step back and do the planning stage or at least a little exploration. 😁💜
Ready to go with no destination feels like the perfect set up for Strategy September! This year has been a dumpster fire, and if nothing else, I’m looking forward to 2026 to speed up the end of this horrific experiment and maybe regain a little control over my own existence if nothing else.
