Thanks Nan! I hear you on being sick. I honestly didn’t love being pregnant much more than that. The morning sickness about killed me. I HATE being nauseous!
ME TOO. I've never been drunk in my life, because the idea of vomiting is that appalling to me. I don't think I would have been a good pregnant lady either. xo
I sit here catching up on your wonderful writings while IV coffee drips through my veins....LOL...and am sorry you had to go through that torment. You surely needed some of the beach time revealed during your subsequent post. I am glad you are feeling better! Now, I am off for that second cup of coffee while my work computer boots up.
I'm enjoying your writing, but not enjoying the fact that you've been ill. You balance humor and the seriousness of your illness well. I laughed at times, though I really have empathy for your situation. Hang in there and feel better soon.
Oh my gods. That sounds awful, and yet you made it hilarious. I’m seriously impressed. And mostly I just hope you feel better. I can relate so much. xo
I hear you, my friend! I was just the sickest I’ve been since the 90s. And I puked in a lovely bag in front of relative strangers in a vaporetta in Venice (last public exhibition was in the late 70s and there was a clear cause) and then spent a hellacious 36 hours sick in another country. With no tests (although pregnancy would have been a frickin Italian miracle. 😄. Rest, hydrate when you can, and get well. We need your musings.
Oh Meg! The only part of that that sounds redemptive is the “Italian” bit. I think I’ve successfully beaten the plague but my brain may be dragging behind. 🥴
Great piece, Jess. Loved laughing with you about this. I HATE being sick. I imagine I'd hate being pregnant even more, especially at my age. xo

I’ve definitely been drunk but even in that state I always know when to stop so I won’t vomit. 🤢 My husband thinks it’sa super power. 🤣🦸♀️
Yeah, I’ve never been much of a drinker. Ever. Ice cream is my drug of choice! xo

I need some of that drip myself!
How the heck did you write this hilarious account in your current state? I hope you feel better oh-so-very soon!
🤣 Humor is about the only dignity I retained during this. Thank you!

Thank you so much! So glad you’re enjoying the humor and the writing. I’m finally starting to feel human again and so appreciate the well wishes! 💖

Well, thank you kindly. Good to know the lack of brain functioning has at least some positive side effect. 🤣
Feel better you poor thing. I'm happy to see that this dreaded virus didn't touch your sense of humor. Without that, all would truly be lost...! 💕
Oh no, the sense of humor is the only thing I retained last week.
